Next up was Gourmet Food for a Fiver by Jason Atherton. I love Jason’s cooking and his books. Whether the recipes were ever really possible for a fiver, I’m not sure, but today, I think it would be a stretch. All that said, its s great little book with some fab recipes. First up was a cracking kebab-like dinner: Lamb Steaks with pomegranate Avocado and Arabic bread. It was a fantastic sharing dinner. Next up was Sea Bream with Tomato and Corn Salsa. Bream and corn were delicious together. Last up was
Confit Chicken Legs with Chorizo Bean Stew and Roasted Garlic. This was a cracking recipe; it was a bit like a Spanish take on cassoulet but a little more refined.
