Next was Food You Can’t Say No to by Tamasin Day Lewis. Her book, the Art of the Tart has already featured on the shelves and is a wonderful celebration of tarts of all types from the humble tomato tart to quiche lorraine. This book really lives up to its title with every page beening something that makes you go “ooo I’d love to try that”. We use her recipe for chimmicurri regularly – its a belter. This week we attempted
Fillet of Lamb with a Spiced Aubergine Charlotte. The charlotte was delicious with the lamb and looked really rather spectacular.
Friday night is often curry night in our house so we had to try her take on Chicken Tikka Masala. It was good but I’m not sure anything will live up to the Heston Blumenthal recipe from earlier on the shelves.
