Back with Nigel Slater this week, with A Cook’s Book. First up was Roast chicken with Roast Potatoes and Roasting Juices and veggies – a good take on a roast chicken, quite similar to our usual recipe but with the addition of some garlic into the roasting pan and roasting the potatoes around the chicken all of which contributes to a cracking gravy! Then was Cumberland Sausage and Cheddar roast Potato Mash – lovely little dinner dish for mid week and was wonderfully comforting. Last dish of the week was the Friday night curry of Chicken with Tomatoes, yoghurt and garam masala. Not hot but a lovely warming spiced dish, perfect for a cold winters evening.
