Our book was by The Kitchen Diaries by Nigel Slater. We cooked Ham and Butter Beans followed by English Apple Cake. The ham was a lovely warming affair with a tomatoey sauce, we served with Cauliflower cheese. The Apple cake looked great but, not unforgetable (at least not a few weeks later as I write this). Next up was a lovey Pork Ribs with Honey and Anise recipe. This was pretty straight forward and the two baby back ribs we got were perfect for the four of us to savor. Finally this week was Haddock with Bacon and Parsley. The smoked haddock and bacon work really well togther and this made a lovely mid week supper dish. I don’t think the little ones were mad on it.
