Everyday cooking… for every family from the Thermomix Australia team. More Thermomix recipes this week, which started with delicious pikelets but were more like Scotch pancakes than the pikelets we know in the UK. We made a chicken liver pate, which was super and very simple – reminiscent of an Antonio Carluccio recipe for Fegatini, which we’ve made for years. Next up was Potato Cakes Rösti style. These were a little less like a Rösti than you’d think but they were lovely with some simple pan-fried salmon. The last recipe of the week was Lasagne. Making this in the thermo is really simple: grate your Parmesan in the thermo, then make the bechamel in there and then the bolognese – one pan to wash up. It makes this somewhat fiddly dish a doddle. That’s it for Thermomix recipes. Suffice it to say this is an expensive bit of kit, but it has more than paid for itself over the years.
