This week’s Cookbook has been Far Flung Floyd which is a book that was given to my Dad by Keith Floyd when he visited his pub in 1994 for his birthday lunch. The book is signed, and it says “to Dad with best dishes Keith Floyd” and inside the book is the bill from the meal. The bill says they ordered two Italian jobs – who knows what that might have been? Dad talks about Keith presenting the book with two large brandies for himself and dad when he retells the visit.
So what did we cook this week? First up was barbecue chicken from Thailand. Simple marinade with Sherry, soy, fish sauce, coconut milk, garlic coriander, and ginger. Cooked in the oven finished on the barbecue or grill pan. Super tasty; we’ll do it again.
